The Ghana Police Service issued a statement hours after the robbery incident at Adabraka, a suburb of Accra, on Saturday, October 2, 2024.
The robbers accosted a customer of a jewellery shop in the area, forcing him to open his car boot before carting away sacks of money into their car before speeding off.
The operation which lasted less than 20 minutes was undertaken amid firing of warning shots while one robber also flung a bundle of the loot in the air as they exited the scene.
