FRIDAY SPECIAL: The historic Masjid Al-Qiblatain in Madinah

There are epochal places that bear great significance in Islam. One of them is Masjid Al-Qiblatain in Saudi Arabia.

As part of our Friday Special on Iqra Today, we share key insights about the mosque as posted on the official Facebook page of the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on November 15, 2024.

“A magnificent architectural jewel in Al-Madinah, where history and faith intertwine, drawing pilgrims to witness the site of one of Islam’s most pivotal moments,” one of the captions read.

The other caption stated: “Within these historic walls, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led the first prayer that turned from Jerusalem to the Kaaba, marking a defining moment that continues to shape how Muslims pray worldwide.”

It is said that visitors to the mosque get to “reflect on a profound moment in history, experiencing the legacy of revelation and the journey of prophethood,” the Ministry stressed.
