The death has been reported of Sheikh Baba Repairer, a top Tamale-based Islamic cleric.
The incident happened after Jum’ah (Friday prayers) in Tamale with his funeral prayer and burial slated for tomorrow at 10 am.
Baba was a prominent leader of the Tijaniya Muqaddam in the Northern Regional capital, he is also revered as a devoted student of the Tijaniya sect leader, Ibrahim Nyass Al-Kaolahi.

Venue for the funeral is at Tishigu, behind PK Gombilla Pharmacy, Tamale.
Vice President Bawumia in his tribute to the late Sheikh described him as, “a pillar of faith, whose unwavering dedication to Islam and selfless service earned him immense respect within the Muslim community and beyond,” he added: “His departure is a great loss to the Muslim Ummah. I will personally miss the purity of his counsel.
