LIST: 4 Muslim players in Ghana’s Top 10 club transfers

With Manchester City’s recent signing of Antoine Semenyo from AFC Bournemouth, for a record 74 million pounds, he becomes the most expensive Ghanaian player on the global football market.

He takes over from Mohammed Kudus, whose 64 million pound fee from West Ham United to Tottenham was 10 million lesser than Semenyo’s current fee.

Kudus is no stranger to big money transfers. He topped the list of most expensive Ghanaian players with his transfer from Ajax to Westham (43 million pounds) an amount that was surpassed by Thomas Partey’s transfer from Arsenal to Villareal (50 million pounds).

Aside from Kudus’ two time appearance on the list of most expensive Ghanaian transfers, three other Muslims have made the list. They are as follows:

Kamaldeen Sulemana – 25 million pounds transfer from Rennes to Southampton

Baba Rahman – 24.4 million pounds from FC Augsburg to Chelsea

Andre Dede Ayew – 24.1 million pounds from Swansea City to West Ham United
