I will retain Amin Adam as Finance Minister – Bawumia

Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Karaga Constituency, Mohammed Amin Adam, will be retained as Finance Minister if he is elected President on December 7.

Bawumia at a campaign stop in Tolon in the Northern Region said Amin Adam had proven himself to be competent and one of the best Finance Ministers Ghana has ever had.

“He is one of the best Finance Ministers we have had in the country. I am going to retain him when I become President, not because he is from the north, but because he is competent and has demonstrated his capabilities.”

Bawumia urged voters to choose him over former President John Dramani Mahama, citing Mahama’s previous term as President where he was unable to solve the country’s problems, leading to his removal from office.

“When you vote for me, I will serve you for 8 years, but Mahama will only serve for 4 years. I have introduced 33 policies as Vice President, while Mahama cannot name a single policy he initiated during his time as Vice President. Therefore, I am the best choice to continue the good work of the NPP for the benefit of the country,” he added.
