ASWAJ confirms death of dedicated accountant of Research, Nima

The Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa leadership confirmed the death of Sheikh Mas’ud, one of its employees at the Islamic Research Institute at Nima, Accra.

In a Facebook post dated November 24, 2024, ASWAJ Ghana posted the following: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sheikh Mas’ud, who returned to Allah earlier this morning while jogging near Ridge Hospital.

“Sheikh Mas’ud served as an accountant at the Institute of Islamic Research in Nima, Accra, where he was known for his dedication and humility. May Allah grant him Jannah and forgive his shortcomings. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all those who are grieving this loss,” the post added.

A photo of the deceased was circulated on Facebook in the early hours of Sunday (November 24) with the caption that he had slumped and died and his body still lay close to the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
