Amin Lamptey is new comms chief of Hajj Board

Media personality, Mohammed Amin Lamptey, has been appointed director of communications of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (The Hajj Board).

He takes over a role that was last handled by A. B. A. Fuseini, the former Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu.

The former MP handled corporate communication during the 2024 Hajj season under the leadership of Alhaji Collins Dauda who served as Chairman of a Task Force that oversaw the Hajj last year.

Amin Lamptey is making a return to the Hajj Board where he had previously served between 2013 and 2017. He was the deputy communications director under Abdul Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, who happens to be the current Chairman of the Pilgrims Affairs Office.

Amin Lamptey has footprints in the area of academia, politics, broadcasting and more importantly in the area of sports, where he is one of Ghana’s renowned boxing journalists and ring announcers.

Flyers of his appointment were widely circulated especially on Facebook and other social media platforms.
