Police have declared one Ibrahim Mohammed wanted for making inflammatory comments in a viral social media video.
Police via a statement posted on social media announced a 50,000 Ghana cedis reward for information leading to Mohammed’s arrest.
The suspect who goes by the alias Kanawu (fadi kafuta in Hausa) is said to be an member of the National Democratic Congress. In the almost 4-minute viral video, he addresses among others, the Inspector-General of Police.
He alleged that fake police are being recruited in the Ashanti Region before threatening the Interior Minister with deadly violence.
“This 2024 will be all die be die. Akufo-Addo said all die be die in 2012, I, Commander Kanawu, I am declaring 2024 as a year for all die be die,” he is heard saying.

The Ghana Police Service has declared wanted a male suspect who is seen in a viral video threatening to shoot and harm some public officials.
The suspect who addressed himself as Kanawu, threatened violence on the public officials and any other person who stands in their way.
A reward of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢50,000.00) has been earmarked for anyone who is able to share relevant and credible information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect.
