Musah Konate: Ghanaian bags Engineering PhD from Saudi Uni

Ing Bema Musah Konate, a Ghanaian doctoral student has successfully defended his Ph.D in electrical engineering.

He is due to graduate from the Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) where he has been studying for the past four years.

Announcing the completion of his programme on Facebook on May 23, 2025, Konate wrote: “I’m pleased to share that I successfully defended my Ph.D. dissertation yesterday, officially marking the end of this incredible journey. All praise and glory to Allah (SWT) for His endless mercy and guidance.

“My heartfelt thanks to my family for their constant love, prayers, and support. To my advisor, Prof. Fahhad H. Alharbi, your mentorship and encouragement have been invaluable.

“Thank you to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) for fostering an environment of growth and excellence, and to my colleagues and peers for your friendship and insight throughout this journey.

“This achievement is a shared success, and I look forward to making meaningful contributions to research and innovation in electrical engineering. Ph.D. Done.”

It is graduation season in parts of the world, in line with celebrating Muslim excellence, we would publish such stories to inspire young Muslims.
