Dr. Merri Iddrisu, one of the first to earn a PhD in Nursing from the University of Ghana, took the stage at the Great Hall as valedictorian, speaking on behalf of the PhD Class of 2025.
From her roots in Dunkwa-on-Offin to becoming a community health nurse, assistant lecturer and researcher in women’s health and cancer care, her journey is one that embodies perseverance, purpose and the power of education to transform lives.
Taking to the podium, she shared key lessons from the four-year journey of the cohort, one she revealed was shaped by academic excellence, sacrifice and a shared commitment to impactful research.
