Mahama swears in Adam Sukparu, 3 deputy ministers

President John Dramani Mahama on July 31, 2025 swore in the last batch of deputy ministers approved by Parliament after they underwent vetting.

The four were Dorcas Affo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro, Deputy Minister for Transport, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West, Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan, Deputy Minister for Health.

The four appointees bring the total number of ministerial appointees to 60, the figure Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) promised in their 2024 manifesto.

All except the deputy transport minister had their substantive ministers in attendance at the event that took place at the Jubilee House. Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was also in attendance.

President Mahama charged them to serve with integrity and dedication in advancing Ghana’s development agenda.
