‘Ghana stands in solidarity with you’ – Mahama to Palestine

President John Dramani Mahama has said Ghana supports a two-state solution to the Palestinian question in line with international law and UN resolutions.

He called on all parties to “embrace diplomacy, commit to dialogue, and end the cycle of violence.” During a presentation of humanitarian aid to Gaza on August 1, 2025; President Mahama urged Israeli authorities to open the borders so that aid can flow into Gaza.

He said Ghana believes in the power of negotiation, the strength of peaceful resolution, and the possibility of renewal after pain.

“To our friends and brothers and sisters in Palestine, please know that you will not walk alone. Ghana stands in solidarity with you,” the President said.

He described the donation as offering “not just sustenance but a symbol of our enduring friendship and our solidarity.”

The ceremony was attended by Palestinian Ambassador Abdul Fattah Ahmed Khalil al-Satay, UN officials, diplomatic corps members, and government officials.

The donation was organized by the Ghana Cocoa Board, Cocoa Processing Company, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
