Kanda – Madina: Mac Naza’s burial plans announced

Burial plans for the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East Constituency , Mahama Toure Naser, alias McNaza, have been announced by family.

According to the plans, he will be sent from his residence to the National Mosque at Kanda for the funeral prayers (janaaiza) on January 5, 2026 before his remains are sent to the Madina cemetery for burial.

According to multiple sources, the 60-year-old died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in the afternoon of Sunday, January 4, 2026 after a short illness. His passing was confirmed by close associates and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

About Naser Toure Mahama

Naser Toure Mahama, born on March 17, 1965, in Nima, Accra, was a seasoned politician who represented the Ayawaso East Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on the ticket of the NDC.

He first entered Parliament in 2012 after winning the seat in the general elections and was re-elected in subsequent polls, including a resounding victory in the 2024 elections where he garnered over 70% of the votes.

A businessman by profession, Mahama held a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Central University, a Diploma in Governance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Doshisha University in Japan.
