Shamima Muslim sworn in as PPP committee board member

Shamima Muslim takes oath as board member of the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Committee under the Ministry of Finance.

The deputy government spokesperson was sworn into office as part of a 13-member board headed by Minister for Finance, Cassiel Ato Forson.

The PPP Committee was formally inaugurated  on July 28, 2025 by Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko, who rightly emphasized that the current fiscal constraints demand stronger, more structured partnerships with the private sector to fund critical infrastructure and developmental projects.

Membership of the Committee:
1. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, MP – Minister for Finance (Chairperson)
2. Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, MP – Attorney General and Minister for Justice
3. Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP – Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry
4. Dr. Audrey Smock Amoah – Director-General, National Development Planning Commission
5. Mr. Simon Madjie – CEO, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre
6. Mr. Frank Mante – CEO, Public Procurement Authority
7. Prof. Nana Ama Brown Klutse – Executive Director, Environmental Protection Agency
8. Prof. Anthony Owusu-Ansah – Executive Secretary, Lands Commission
9. Mr. Samuel Manu Asiama – Representative, Chartered Institute of Bankers
10. Ing. Festus Ofoli Odametey – Representative, Ghana Institution of Engineers
11. Mad. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo – Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the President

“As Chair of this Committee, I made it clear that the era where government-dominated projects were labelled as PPPs must end.
True Public-Private Partnerships require genuine risk-sharing between government and the private sector.
“What we’ve seen in the past falls short of this standard. It’s time to streamline our understanding and execution of PPPs. We are confident that this team will provide the leadership and coordination needed to ensure that PPPs in Ghana are structured, sustainable, and truly beneficial to our people,” the PPP board chair said.
